根据夏目漱石《满韩漫游》记述,中国长白山地区民居一般由门屋、左右厢房、正房几部分构成,墙壁一般由泥土砌成。这种建筑样式与中国传统的四合院格局融为一体。日本的侵入对长白山地区民居产生了不小的影响。一是和风西渐,常在中国式的住宅中装修出日本式房间;二是在中国式院落布局的基础上加以改进,在正房的位置盖成西洋式的二层楼房;三是建造了职工公寓“筒子楼”。研究这些对于深化长白山地区民俗研究有很重要的史料价值。
