中华民族自古就是一个尊敬自然规律的民族,中国古代思想家把天地万物视为一个有机的整体,从大禹治水的因势利导,到孔子提出的“天、地、人”观念,无不体现了中国人的最高自然观——和谐观。而这种观念在山水画中经过长期发展,逐步吸收了儒、释、道等文化,形成了中国山水画的和谐文化观念,并与山水画的发展过程相伴,随着时代的发展不断丰富。山水画从诞生之时就体现了一种和谐观念。我国古人以阴阳区分山水。许慎《说文解字》载:“阴,暗也;水之南,山之北也。”李吉甫在《元和郡县志》中进一步指出:“山南曰阳,山北曰阴;水北曰阳,水南曰阴。常常以带有”阴“或”阳“的地名来体现地理
