为了交流和推广几年来地質部门实驗室工作中的经验,提高实驗室工作水平,以便使这方面的工作更好地适应地質事業大躍进的需要,4月7日—16日,地質部召开了第一届实验室工作会議。参加会議的除地質部各中心实驗室、省局实驗室以及勘探队实驗組的代表外,还有37个地質部以外的其他单位的代表。苏联地質和矿藏保护部应邀派遣了以全苏矿物原料研究所副所长舍馬年柯夫为首的代表团来参加这次会議。大会由何长工副部长致开幕詞。他指出,自中华人民共和国成立以來,在党和政府的正确領导下,由于苏联的大力帮助以及全体实驗室工作人員的辛勤劳
