玫瑰茄是锦葵科、木槿属一年生植物,是近年新兴的饮料和色素植物。在华南地区广泛种植,用来制作果酱、果冻、蜜饯、饮料和食品色素,且营养丰富。根据我区自然气候特点,为振兴自治区食品工业,是很有开发前途的植物。为此,1987年从华南农业大学引种。在石河子农学院农学系试验地种植及盆栽初获成功。
Roselle is Malvaceae, Hibiscus is an annual plant, is emerging in recent years, beverage and pigment plants.
