1938年12月1日,原新月社的主将梁实秋担任《中央日报》副刊《平明》的主编时发表的一篇《编者的话》,引起了文学界的义愤,由此引发了“与抗战无关”论的论争。《编者的话》表明,梁实秋未能随着时代的巨变调整自己的文学观念,自然难免同大后方文学界发生某种程度的冲突。各自倡导的文学观念上的差异导致了这一场规模不大,但却相当激烈的争论。
On December 1, 1938, Liang Shih-ch’iu, former chief of the New Moon Club, served as editor-in-chief of the editor in chief of the Central Daily Supplement Ping-ming, arousing the indignation of the literary world, which triggered the “ Irrelevant ”controversy. The Editor’s Note shows that Liang Shih-ch’iu failed to adjust his own literary concepts with the dramatic changes of the times and naturally would have some degree of conflict with the literary community in the rear. The differences in literary ideas each advocated led to this small but rather fierce debate.
