多年来历史研究与一般读者的关系始終是较为淡漠的,古史研究就更是如此了。虽然,由非专业历史学者创作的某些通俗历史作品可以部分地满足大众对于历史知识的需求,但如何向他们提供具有更高专业水平的历史作品,仍然是专业历史学者义不容辞的一项责任。这不仅对于全民族文化素质的提高具有重要意义,而且也是历史学本身发展的一个重要的方面。但在这个问题上,迄今历史学界所做的工作还是很不够的。
The relationship between historical research and general readers has always been relatively indifferent over the years, and the study of ancient history is even more so. Although some popular historical works created by non-professional historians can partly meet the public’s need for historical knowledge, it is an unshirkable responsibility of professional historians how to provide them with historical works with higher professional standards. This is of great significance not only for the improvement of the cultural quality of the entire nation, but also as an important aspect of the development of history itself. However, on this issue, the work done by historians to date has not been enough.
