Monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) and the human aging process are closely related. Determination of MAO-B content can be used as a study of aging and anti-aging drug screening an indicator. Commonly used isotope method is specific and highly sensitive, but the price is more expensive, and the source of the domestic ~ (14) C-labeled substrate still has difficulties. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is also an accurate and sensitive method of determining brain catecholamine metabolizing enzymes.
