卡拉卡尔帕克社会主义共和国北部地区的气温在四月、五月、六月和九月,即棉花种子发芽、出土和苗期生长到现蕾以至成熟的阶段温度很低,且日温差较大。我们工作的任务,在于获得能够适应多变的温度,并在这种条件下,发育很好的新的棉花品种。同时我们还研究棉花生长期长的规律性和其它特性。为此,乌孜别克社会主义共和国科学院卡拉卡尔帕克综合科学研究所于1953年开始进行棉花的品种间杂交和定向培育,同时结合选种。
Temperatures in the northern part of the Karakalpak Socialist Republic were very low in April, May, June and September, when cotton seeds germinated, unearthed and seedlings grew to buds and matured, with large daily temperature differences. The task of our job is to obtain new cotton varieties that are well adapted to the changing temperatures and under these conditions. At the same time, we also study the regularity and other characteristics of long cotton growing season. To this end, Uzbekistan Social Science Institute Karakalpak Institute of Integrated Science in 1953 began cotton hybrids and directional breeding, combined with the selection.
