The initial establishment of China’s socialist market economic system not only brought opportunities to the hospital but also brought many new challenges. As an important part of the socialist market economic system - the social security system is not yet sound, the funds invested by the government in the health sector are relatively inadequate, and most of the prices of diagnosis and treatment performed by hospitals are still the standards established under the planned economic system.
