利用中国水稻研究所保存的一份籼型紫叶稻(CN-pl)分别与正常绿叶籼、粳稻杂交,发现该紫叶稻的叶色遗传具有特异性:即杂种F1不表现紫色而呈绿色。F2群体中绿叶与紫叶之比为13∶3、55∶9,符合二至三对基因的分离模式。结果表明:一般正常绿叶稻品种均带有该紫叶抑制基因〔I-pl(t)〕,用CN-pl作母本与几个广亲和品种杂交,F1表现出明显的杂种优势。CN-pl这种遗传特异性用于两系杂交稻制种,在苗期即可根据叶色,有效的鉴别因化学杀雄不彻底或光敏不育系育性不稳产生的假杂种,以保证杂交F1纯度。
