Clinical coexistence of acute colonic cancer is rare and the incidence is low. However, this disease often has acute appendicitis as the main manifestation, causing clinicians to misdiagnose as acute appendicitis and missed the diagnosis of colon cancer. Therefore, inappropriate treatment methods were selected. A retrospective analysis of 23 cases of colon cancer complicated with acute appendicitis and misdiagnosis of appendicitis in our hospital from 1988 to 1997 was conducted.
