Approved by the Ministry of Education, a seminar on advanced inorganic chemistry offered by the Department of Chemistry at Central China Normal University was held in Wuhan on November 29, 1980 and ended on December 23, which lasted for 27 days. Delegates to the seminar came from 42 colleges and universities affiliated to all provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China, including 5 comprehensive universities, 12 education institutes and teachers colleges and 12 other institutions, totaling 97 people.
