在印加王国一百多万平方公里的土地之上,各地区无论气候条件还是地理环境都如同春秋冬夏,各不相同,居住于其间的民族也各异,唯有当他们都向往首都库斯科的太阳神放射出的光芒时才形成一个整体,也唯有当王国的触角延伸到这些各不相同的“神经末端”时才促成了一个王国。印加之路就是这样一条横贯王国南北、绵延4万公里的大动脉,它将整个印加王国联结成一个整体,如同血脉滋养整个王国。虽然经过时光与岁月的洗礼,这条道路已经在现实中隐没,但作为一种精神纽带,依然是安第斯人生命活力生生不息的来源。
