孔子与庄子思想都是文化理想主义的，所不同的是孔子侧重于社会的关切，庄子则倾向于人生的关怀。两者并未因此而放弃对自己思想主流之外的另一方面的诉求，这就使得双方都具备了走向融合的先天基因。文化理想主义也因此而成为影响中国人思维与行为方式的内在因素。
Both Confucius and Chuang Tzu’s thoughts are cultural idealism. The difference is that Confucius focuses on social concerns while Zhuang Tzu tends to care for life. The two did not give up on the other side of their own thinking outside the mainstream of the appeal, which makes both sides have the integration of congenital genes. As a result, cultural idealism has become an internal factor that influences Chinese way of thinking and behavior.
