随着班轮公会垄断势力的不断下降,班轮公会所贡献的市场集中度也呈下降的趋势,整个航运市场的运价也将得以降低。近年来,全球各大班轮公司不断掀起并购和联营的浪潮,集装箱市场的市场集中度一路攀升,2005年前后三起重量级并购案致使当年班轮运输市场前20大班轮公司的运力增加至82.5%。最新数据表明2010年全球20大班轮公司运力同比增长14%,笔者认为这有可能将是新一轮并购和联营浪潮到来的信号。
As the monopoly power of liner associations declines continuously, the market concentration contributed by the liner associations also shows a downward trend, and the freight rate in the entire shipping market will also be reduced. In recent years, the major liner companies in the world have set off a wave of mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. The market concentration in the container market has been on the rise. Three heavyweight mergers and acquisitions in 2005 caused the shipping capacity of the top 20 liner shipping companies to increase to 82.5% . Latest data show that in 2010 the world’s top 20 liner shipping capacity increased by 14%, I think this may be the next wave of mergers and acquisitions and the arrival of the signal.
