BAFF(Bcell activatingfactorofTNFfamily)是肿瘤坏死因子超家族的新成员 ,对B淋巴细胞的生长、分化和发育有重要作用。
BAFF (B cell activating factor of TNF family) is a new member of the tumor necrosis factor superfamily, which plays an important role in the growth, differentiation and development of B lymphocytes. The enhancement of BAFF signal may lead to a large number of autoreactive B cells appear to damage immune tolerance. It has been found that multiple autoimmune diseases such as SLE, RA and SS are associated with an abnormal increase of serum BAFF, and may also be related to the formation of active heterotrimers by BAFF APRIL. The abnormal expression of BAFF is also associated with the occurrence of tumors such as chronic B-lymphoblastic leukemia. Specific antibodies to BAFF and their related receptors are expected to be new biological agents for the treatment of autoimmune diseases.
