“Anti-Spitfire” is the only novel by Harper Lee. The novel describes the moral dilemma faced by small towns in the South of the United States from a child’s perspective. It is a story about the persecution of evil kindness. This article will analyze the two victims mainly on the basis of Rene Gilar’s interpretation of the scapegoat and analyze how good people become scapegoats and will indicate that Harper Lee has given new meaning to the scapegoat.
