高粱拔节到孕穗期,茎秆加速伸长,其中以“挑旗”抽穗时生长最快,每昼夜可达10厘米左右。这时,幼穗也急剧分化形成,高粱进入营养生长和生殖生长同时并进的阶段。拔节到孕穗期是高粱一生中生长最旺盛时期,也是高粱吸收利用氮素最多时期。这期间如果给高粱追施氮肥,可以促进茎叶生长,有利于枝梗分化和小穗、小花分化,为后期穗大粒多打下基础。
