On May 26, 1987, we invited Professor Zhang Sen from the Forestry Department of the University of Kentucky in the United States to come to our institute for technical discussions. Professor Zhang Sen came to Beijing for an academic exchange at the invitation of the Society of Forest Managers before he went to Jiangxi for a lecture. Professor Zhang focuses on logging of different age forests. That is to say, through a series of mathematical formulas, the relationship between existing stocks, residual growth and accumulation, and regression period is used to obtain the optimal harvesting economic results.
