4. Low-power physics test The low-power physics experiment mainly tests the physical properties of the reactor when the thermal state is slightly higher than zero power, so as to obtain the data required for the operation of the reactor and check the theoretical calculation. During the test, steam is discharged into the condenser or the atmosphere. The main items and contents of the PWR low-power physics test are shown in Table 4. (1) Determination of Control Rod Value and Boron Value The efficiency of the control rod assembly is proportional to the square of the neutron flux. Therefore, the control rods with different radial positions have different absorption efficiencies for neutrons due to the different neutron density distribution in the reactor. From a control rod, the active area at different heights, its unit length neutron absorption capacity is also bright
