1991年:蒙娜丽莎的皱眉英国《独立报》报道称,一个艺术小组在清洗名画《蒙娜丽莎》时发现了一个惊人的秘密,在将画上的蒙尘去掉之后,这位以“神秘的微笑”风靡世界的女子竟然皱着眉头。1992年:分割比利时在这一年的愚人节,《伦敦时报》用大版篇幅报道了比利时将被一分为二的消息。该报道称,比利时北部说荷兰语的部分将并入荷兰,南部讲法语的部分则被并入法国。这篇报道说得煞有介事,还附上了详细的分割地图,竟然愚弄了当时英国的外交部部长,他还表示准备接受电视采访,讨论这一“重要问题”
1991: Frowning Mona Lisa The British newspaper The Independent reported that an art group discovered a surprising secret when it came to cleaning the famous Mona Lisa. After removing the dust from the painting, “Mysterious smile” swept the world even frowned woman. 1992: Separation of Belgium On April Fool’s Day this year, the London Times covered a large version of Belgium’s message that it would be split. The report said that the northern part of Belgium will be incorporated into the Netherlands Dutch part of the southern French-speaking part of being incorporated into France. The report made a fuss about it and attached a detailed map of the separations, even fooling the Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom at the time. He also said he was prepared to accept a television interview to discuss this important issue.
