著名的短篇小说家艾丽斯·门罗,一贯以其独特卓越的写作技巧反映其真实而精确的社会观察以及敏锐的心理洞察。她的优秀长篇小说《姑娘们和女人们的生活》受到好多评论家关注的一篇,这部小说通过女主人公黛尔的全知叙述视角描述了众多普通女性的生活故事以及黛尔如何由一个无知少女逐渐成长为艺术家的过程。本文论述这部小说所体现出来典型的叙事技巧——隐喻,从而帮助读者更好地了解主人公所处的复杂的生存环境和以她为代表的加拿大女性在男权社会中所忍受的压迫。

Her excellent novel, “The Life of Girls and Women,” received much attention from critics. The novel describes the life story of many ordinary women through the omniscient narrative perspective of the heroine, Girls gradually grew into artists. This article discusses the typical narrative technique embodied in this novel - Metaphor, to help readers better understand the complicated living environment in which the hero is and the oppression of the Canadian women represented by her in the patriarchal society.
