Chi Shaoguang, native Fujian, graduated in 1990 from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. He currently serves as general manager of South China, DNV · GL’s newbuilding ship, responsible for all projects of newbuilding, and worked for COSCO Guangzhou Company for 5 years prior to joining DNV. Fujian is the place where the pool grows. Shanghai is the place where he studies. Guangzhou is the place where he chose to take root. These three places are of extraordinary significance to the pool. When asked why they gave up the superior environment in Shanghai and chose to take root in Guangzhou, Chi always said: ”One reason is that I am an unbelievably southern People, nature
