欣逢便迅美术学院建校五十周年庆典。笔者有幸参加了一连数日的校庆活动,览阅了校史材料,纪念画册,还观摩了规模不小的校庆美展,对这所颇具特色的美术学院有了较为完整的了解。于是,诸如感想、思考、疑问之类的东西便自然而然地来了。“传统”——? 这实在是人们早已看累了的一个词,持续几年的争执探讨,其结果还是,也必然是“莫衷一是”。因为一切有关过去的研讨,其实质性目的、意义都指向现在:而人们对这个最有实际意义的现在。则永远是各有主张,想对传统下一个划一的定义。并使之具有指导性作用,那是徒劳的。不过,在现实生活中,人们往往会遭遇一些躲不开的“传统”问题,对此就事论事地讲讲自己的看法,倒也不算“谈玄”。

However, in real life, people often encounter some “traditional” problems that can not be avoided. To discuss their own opinions in a matter-of-fact manner does not mean “talking about mystery.”
