在气候炎热和道路条件恶劣的情况下,发动机易过热,即散热器“开锅”。这时,水温表指示超过95℃,冷却水逐渐沸腾,造成散热器“开锅”,从而破坏发动机的正常工作。散热器“开锅”的原因大致有以下几方面: 1.散热器本身散热面积过小。如在温带使用时散热量已按近饱和的散热器,再到炎热的亚热带、热带地区使用,就容易“开锅”。2.散热器设计及工艺质量不好。如结构落后、水管与散热片钎焊不良、主片浸锡造成水管堵塞等,都会导致散热量下降,引起“开锅”。
