At the invitation of NUTEK and the Russian Ministry of Science and Technology, a delegation of 6 people from Guangdong Provincial People's Government headed by Vice Governor Lu Zhonghe visited the delegation from April 20 to May 3, 1997. At the invitation of the Swedish Ministry of Industry and Technology (NUTEK) and the Russian Ministry of Science and Technology, Sweden and Russia. During the visit, he paid special attention to such technologies as electronic telecommunications, bio-engineering (including biopharmaceuticals) and environmental protection in Sweden, and biopharmaceutical and polymer materials in Russia. He visited Sweden's NUTEK, SCANIA province (with Guangdong province as
