去年新编写的代数上册较旧本有很多改进的地方,使我们教学工作得到很大便利;但也有几处叙述不完全适当,仅提出以下几点供参考。(一)方程的概念方面。新本极据大纲的要求,把方程的概念在第一章中提出,这此旧吉氏本有了改进,但新本编写上仍存在若干缺陷,譬如这里过早的讨论方程的各种情形——无限多解的、无解的等等。这样做,对于刚开始学代数的儿童来说,他们对“方程”尚一无所知,讨论方程的各种情形就必然流于形式,另外新本的编写是先叙述定义而后才转入举例说明,这样作也不是由具体实际出发。
Last year, there was a lot of improvements in the newly written algebra on the older books, which made our teaching work very convenient; but there are also several places where the narrative is not entirely appropriate and only the following points are provided for reference. (a) The conceptual aspects of the equation. According to the requirements of the new outline, the concept of the equation was proposed in the first chapter. This old Gigi has improved, but there are still some defects in the preparation of the new book, such as the premature discussion of the various situations of the equation. - infinitely many solutions, no solution, and so on. In doing so, for children who have just begun to learn algebra, they are ignorant about the “equation”. The various situations in which the equations are discussed will inevitably flow into the form. In addition, the preparation of the new book is to describe the definition first before transferring it to the example. Explain that this is not a specific reality.
