1988年4月19日,郑州市荥阳县徐庄煤矿发生一起特大的煤与瓦斯突出事故,突出煤200t、瓦斯约38000m~3,堵塞巷道和工作面46m,造成12人死亡、2人受伤。概况徐庄煤矿是1958年起由社办小煤窑改造发展成县属国营煤矿的。共有三对井,1号和2号井正在建设,3号井在回采。可采煤有两层,上层为二迭纪二_1煤层,下层为石炭纪一_1煤层,两层相距70～80m,倾角13~0～15~0。3号井开采的二_1煤层为瓦斯突出煤层,1号和2号井将要开采的一_1煤层属低瓦斯层。采用对角式通风。工作面用震动放
