酥梨原产于安徽省砀山县良梨公社一带,1968年引入我区繁殖栽培。开始集中于代县、原平、忻县,1976年以后,除神池、宁武、五、岢岚等县北界亚寒地区不适栽培外,其它各县基本遍及。现有栽培面积1.5万亩,30多万株。进入结果树有4万余株,多以6—10年生树为主。年产量达80余万斤,单株平均产量20斤左右,14年生的最高株产520斤,多产于代县北半坡梨区。1979年开始外贸出口,换汇率比其它品种高20—30％。
