Researched by the Standing Committee of China Animal Products Processing Research Association and in consultation with the Agricultural Science and Technology and Patent Technology Development Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, China decided to hold the Second China Meat Science and Technology Conference and the ’99 National New Meat Exchange Workshop Held at Laiyang Agricultural College from August 10th to 15th. The purpose of the conference was to promote industry-university-research institutes to exchange ideas on meat processing and preservation technology. The conference invited well-known experts in meat science and meat technology both at home and abroad to attend the meeting to give presentations.
