朝阳发现并出土了大量古代官印,其中金代官印占有较大的数量,这些官印对于研究金代官制及朝阳地区金代历史具有重要的学术价值。本文介绍的朝阳博物馆藏金代官印:都统所印、元帅府合札都提控印、提控所印、白檀镇商洒记。官印在我国有几千年的历史,过去封建朝廷经常向周边小国及少数民族地方政权颁发官印,封官许愿,对他们进行拉拢安抚。官印是作为官府各种公文生效的法律凭证,它在官民之间所起的作用,当今依然行用,如今的官印随着社会制度的不同而被称其为公章。
