福建省有800多万分布在世界各地的华侨和外籍华裔,有80多万港澳同胞,台湾同胞中有80％祖籍在福建。改革开放以来,福建档案部门为海外侨胞、台港澳同胞排忧解难,不少华侨和台港澳同胞利用馆藏档案落实了政策,通过外出探亲、寻根认祖,寻找到了长期失散的亲人。
There are more than 800 million overseas Chinese and foreign Chinese living in different parts of the world in Fujian Province, over 800,000 compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao and 80% of Taiwan compatriots in Fujian Province. Since the reform and opening up, the archives department of Fujian has solved the problems for overseas compatriots and compatriots in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Maucao. Many overseas Chinese and compatriots in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao have implemented their policies by using archives of their possessions and went out to visit relatives and seek roots for their ancestors, searching for their long-lost relatives.
