Recently, Zhejiang Provincial Forestry Department, in conjunction with Zhejiang Bureau of Statistics, conducted a survey of basic units in the forestry industry to find out the basic situation of forestry enterprises in the province and establish a database of basic units of forestry in Zhejiang Province. As of April 25, 2013, there were 41,724 forestry enterprises in the province with nearly 1 million employees. Among them, there are 10,595 enterprises engaged in the cultivation and breeding of forestry production and 28,814 enterprises engaged in forestry secondary production and processing enterprises, engaging in the ecological service of forestry tertiary industry
