我国西北五省地处北纬45°以南,平均海拔一千米以上,大部分地区雨量稀少,蒸发量大,气候干燥。甘肃中部的会宁县就是典型的苦咸水地区,每年平均降雨量为400多毫米,而且蒸发量达1,000多毫米,地上及地下水均属苦咸水,有的地方苦咸水含盐量高达12克/升以上。这不仅严重地影响着工农业生产的发展,而且也影响着广大工农群众的日常生活和身体健康。
The five provinces in the northwest of China are located south of 45 degrees north latitude, with an average elevation of more than one kilometer. Most of the areas are scarce in rainfall, with large evaporation and dry climate. Huaining County in central Gansu Province is a typical brackish water area. The average annual rainfall is more than 400 millimeters, and the evaporation amount is more than 1,000 millimeters. The ground and groundwater are brackish water, and some local brackish waters have salt content as high as 12 g/l or more. This not only seriously affects the development of industrial and agricultural production, but also affects the daily life and physical health of the majority of workers and peasants.
