历史的年轮就如那飞旋的风车。一个世纪一大圈,一个年代一小圈,转到今天,只剩下——二十世纪的最后一圈从现在起到本世纪末,还有整整十年。这是二十世纪留给人类的最后十年, 这也是二十世纪留给中国的最后十年。整个地球就是一个椭圓形的大跑道,全人类正在这个赛场上你追我赶,拼个胜负。人类在拼命地奔跑。然而,二十世纪这一圈所剩的路途已经不多了,前面,就是终点,人类正在使用浑身的解数作最后的冲刺,冲过终点,即是一个崭新的纪元……中国正在努力寻找自己在跑道上的位置。
The historical rings are like the windmills that swirled.
