建筑大师勒·柯布西耶曾经这样给建筑艺术下定义:“建筑艺术是在光照条件下对体量关系巧妙正确地卓越处理。”建筑大师这样一句富有理性思考的论句,概括和阐述了从光→自然条件（建筑造型）的建筑设计过程中的一条主线。而室内设计则是对“建筑内部空间的理性创造方法”。我认为在从事室内设计,即从布局、结构、色彩及材料入手之前,光,这一先决条件便已经存在。在每个内部空间形成的同时,随着光的作用,影也相对显现于空间内部。因此“光”与“影”这对相关因素便每时每刻提醒我们它存在的重要性。

Interior design, on the other hand, is a rational method of creating interior space. I think that the precondition for light is already there before we are engaged in interior design, that is, from the layout, structure, color and material. While each interior space is formed, the shadow appears relative to the interior of the space with the action of light. Therefore, the relevant factors of “light” and “shadow” remind us of the importance of its existence at all times.
