半挂牵引车具有运输效率高、经济、方便等特点,适应未来高速物流运输的发展形势。近几年我国高速公路建设和物流运输业迅猛发展,对牵引车的需求呈现强劲的增长势头。图1是近几年牵引车需求量及对2010年的需求预测。据统计,2005 年1-4月,我国半挂牵引车生产2万9 112辆,比2004年同期增长12.18%,是载货车中最有发展前景、最具活力的车型之一。半挂牵引汽车列车一般是4轴(主车2轴,挂车2轴)及以上的车辆,是大宗、高速、长途物流运输的主要工具,这就要求与其匹配的发动机要具有大功率、高可靠性的特点。
