深秋过后,荸荠纷纷上市,它不仅肉质脆嫩,清甜爽口,而且营养丰富,含有蛋白质、糖类、脂肪,以及多种维生素和钙、磷、铁等微量元素。荸荠生熟食皆宜。 祖国医学对其药用价值更是推崇备至。认为荸荠性平味甘,无毒,具有清热止渴、利湿化痰、止血痢等功效。据《本草纲目》载,荸荠“主血痢,下血,血崩”。而《别录》载,荸荠可“治消渴、痹热”。现代医学研究认为,荸荠中含有一种抗菌成分,对金黄色葡萄球菌、大肠杆菌、产气杆菌、绿脓杆菌等有抑制作用。民间应用荸荠治病方法颇多,兹择几种介绍如下:
