In the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic widely distributed in the Pliocene - Quaternary volcanic rocks. The lava (mainly the basalt and the andesite) of the Ishhana Nasar volcanic area occupy a special place among the young volcanic rocks. Rough basalts and rough dacite are not widely distributed.
