在中国的艺术界,有那么一群人,比之于风风火火的当代艺术,他们并不活跃;相对于市场中呼风唤雨的写实画派,他们又不想被纳入其中。较之于我行我素的职业艺术家,他们几乎整个创作生涯都没有离开学院的大门;而面对中国轰轰烈烈的艺术品市场,他们的公开市场却略显沉寂,但想买他们的作品其实并不容易。他们出生于1950-1960年代,从老一辈油画家那里汲取养分,又开创出自己独特的绘画风格,如今,他们已经成为各大美术院系的中坚,真正肩负起了中国油画承上启下的责任。
In the art world of China, there are groups of people who are not as active as the up-and-coming contemporary art; they do not want to be included in the realistic painting school in the market. Compared to their own professional artists, they did not leave the school almost for the whole of their creative career. In the face of China’s vigorous art market, their open market is slightly silent, but it is not easy to buy their works. They were born in the 1950s and 1960s, drawing their own nutrients from the older generation of oil painters and creating their own unique style of painting. Nowadays, they have become the backbone of major art departments and have really shouldered the responsibility of bearing Chinese oil paintings.
