2008 Beijing Olympic gold medal standings and medals double the cheers still in the ears, an instant the flames of London 2012 Olympic Games have been burning. Yi Si Ling, Sun Yang, Ye poetry and other stars of the sudden emergence of a surprise, Li Na, Wenna, Wu Jing Biao and other celebrities accidental defeat also makes people feel sorry. Medal standings record affects the hearts of people. In the meantime, however, another voice was also deafening - the improvement in the quality of the general public was even more pride than the gold medal. In China, there is a contradiction between the status quo of competitive sports and mass sports. This is not a way of thinking but a factual judgment. In the final analysis, mass sports is more important than competitive sports, not only because national health involves the national economy and the people’s livelihood, but also because universal fitness is the hallmark of a sports power. From a people-centered perspective, it is quite clear what is the difference between the two. However, the development and maturity of competitive sports is not a mistake. It is wrong to artificially oppose the two from essence to reality. How to realize the integration and common prosperity of competitive sports and universal sports is the problem that we should try hard to think.
