火炬树适应性强,耐旱、耐盐碱、耐沙压,萌蘖力强,是水土保持、护坡、固堤、封滩、固沙的好树种。也是较好的园林观尝树种。平陆县苗圃于1975年从北京植物园引进火炬树种子进行育苗和栽植造林。一、育苗技术火炬树繁殖容易,可采用播种、插根、留根和分蘖四种方法育苗。(一)播种育苗1.种子采集与处理:在10—12月采集果穗,经曝晒揉搓后去掉红色的果皮与绒毛,取得纯净的种子;装袋放在通风阴凉干燥处。春季播种前用草木灰搓掉种皮上的蜡
