The Shuxing Drama Club was established on the basis of the drama department of the Shanghai Literary News Readers’ Union after the September 18 Incident. It existed for a short period of time, but with the famous “Avenue Theater” (actually, the pseudonym of Nanguo Club) and so on, it played an important role in helping the Shanghai student movement to resist Japan and saving the nation, especially the “Lanxi Theater Company” Movement, has played a significant role in promoting, leaving a small footprint in the history of Chinese drama.
