根据国家教委新颁布的《大学英语教学大纲》的要求,一个在在学生在两年内应掌握2500个左右的单词,再加上原来在中学大体上掌握的1700个左右的单词,总共应掌握4200个左右的单词.如何在相对短的时间内快速而有效地提高和帮助学生记忆和掌握这些词汇是我们贯彻实施教学大纲,培养学生阅读能力和听、译能力的关键.因为词汇是构成语言的基础,没有词汇就没有语言,扩大词汇量是我们实现大纲规定的教学目的之一和提高学生英语水平的必要前提.那么,该如何做到这一点呢?下面就《大学英语精读》一册的词汇教学谈一点我个人的见解和体会.
