词汇在英语当中有着至关重要的作用,词汇的掌握程度,将直接关系着英语的表达能力以及英语的写作能力。传统的教学中,教师硬性地让学生记忆、背诵,其教学效果只是一时的,学生记忆词汇很难保持长久性,只是暂时的在当时的课堂上认识了,掌握程度欠缺。初中可以说是学生学习英语词汇的最初阶段,英语教师有义务也有责任结合学生自身的特点,激发学生学习、记忆词汇的兴趣和主动性,帮助学生树立正确的学习态度,为英语的其他能力奠定基础。
