本文所指湘赣边境,从西到东包括湖南茶陵、攸县、醴陵的南部;江西萍乡、莲花、永新的西部地区。据前所知,该区缺失晚泥盆世后期地层。 1951—1954年,廖士范,于本区调查铁矿地质时,对中泥盆统棋子桥灰岩之上一套浅海相地层,先后作了详细分层,将其全部归于上泥盆统佘田桥组,相当西欧弗拉斯期。1959年,湖南地质研究所也指出:湘东一带缺失锡矿山期的沉积。 1960年,笔者随同长沙地层中心站黄汉铎等同志,在萍乡附近测制剖面,于原视佘田桥组上部,采获了大量的Yunnanella。并在该组底部发现两层鲕状赤铁矿。此后湘赣二省地质局在区测过程中,又陆续发现上述化石。于是湘赣边境晚泥盆世后期地层之存在,始确证实。文中部分化石承杨遵仪教授复查和地质科学院李莉同志鉴定,谨此致谢。
This refers to the Hunan-Jiangxi border, from west to east, including Hunan Chaling, Youxian, Liling south; Pingxiang, Jiangxi, Lotus, Yongxin western region. As far as I know, this area is missing Late Devonian strata. During 1951-1954, Liao Shih-fan, when investigating the iron ore geology in this area, conducted a detailed stratification of a set of shallow marine strata above the limestone of the Middle Zhunzi Pagoda Bridge, all of which were attributed to the Upper Devonian Shetian Bridge group, quite Western Frisian period. In 1959, Hunan Institute of Geology also pointed out: the eastern part of the lack of tin deposits during the deposition. In 1960, with Huang Hondo and other comrades at the Changsha Stratospheric Station, the author measured the section near Pingxiang and collected a large number of Yunnanella at the upper part of the original Shetianqiao Formation. Two layers of oolitic hematite were found at the bottom of the group. Since then, Hunan, Jiangxi and other provinces in the district geological survey process, they gradually discovered the above fossils. Thus, the presence of the Late Devonian strata in the border area of Hunan, Jiangxi Province was confirmed.
