埃德加·艾伦·坡是19世纪美国著名作家,诗人和文学评论家。他的作品涵盖了侦探小说,哥特小说以及自然描写等风格及题材。通常他的作品反映的是人物心理活动,体现人物社会关系以及各种矛盾纠纷的演变,故情节非常吸引人。同时,坡创作并引领的哥特小说也在文坛名垂青史,对后世作家影响深远。本篇将围绕坡的自然文学体裁的作品——《裘力斯·罗德曼日志》(简称《日志》)从生态批评角度展开研究。作为坡创作生涯的重要组成部分,自然作品也从很多层面体现出坡的创作哲学和伦理思考。本文尝试从新的视角——生态批评去解析《日志》的创作风格以及生态内涵。论文主体共有三个部分组成:第一部分主要是《裘力斯·罗德曼日志》这部作品的相关介绍;第二部分和第三部分从人类文明与自然环境的关系以及开疆运动与印第安文化的伦理碰撞两个方面阐释生态批评主义的自然观与文化观。第四部分是结语。
Edgar Allen Poe is a famous 19th-century American writer, poet and literary critic. His works cover detective novels, gothic novels and natural description style and theme. Usually his works reflect the psychological activities of the characters, reflecting the social relations of characters and the evolution of various contradictions and disputes, so the plot is very attractive. At the same time, Poe’s creation and led the Gothic novel is also famous in the literary world, far-reaching writers influence. This article will focus on the slope of the genre of natural works - “Julius Rodman Journal” (referred to as “diary”) from the ecological point of view of the study. As an important part of his career, he also embodies his creative philosophy and ethical thinking from many aspects. This article attempts to analyze the creative style and ecological connotation of Diary from a new perspective - ecological criticism. The thesis consists of three parts: the first part mainly introduces the works of Julius Rodman; the second part and the third part analyze the relationship between human civilization and the natural environment, Cultural and Ethical Collision Interpretation of Ecological Criticism from the View of Nature and Culture. The fourth part is the conclusion.
