意大利现有灌溉面积5,250万亩,约占耕地面积的18％,主要分布在北部地区(占总灌溉面积的72～73％)。近年来,由于广泛釆用了新的科学技术成果,扩大灌溉面积,改建排水系统,使农业产量得到较大的提高。但农产品仍旧有10％不能滿足需要,因此必须更大地提高农业水平,特別是需要继续发展灌溉,实现机械化和自动化灌水。意大利主要采用沟灌、畦灌等地面灌溉方法,喷灌面积约占灌溉面积的五分之一。
Italy has an existing irrigation area of 52.5 million mu, accounting for about 18% of the arable land, mainly in the northern region (72-73% of the total irrigated area). In recent years, due to the widespread adoption of new scientific and technological achievements, expansion of irrigated area and reconstruction of drainage systems have greatly increased agricultural output. However, 10% of the agricultural products still can not meet the needs. Therefore, the agricultural level must be greatly raised. In particular, irrigation needs to be continued to realize mechanized and automated irrigation. Italy mainly uses furrow irrigation, irrigation and other surface irrigation methods, sprinkler irrigation area accounts for about one-fifth of the area.
