前言 “COADS”资料(comprehensive Ocean—Atmosphere Data Set)是根据中美海气相互作用”的有关协定由美国提供给我国的一份资料。该资料含有一百二十六年(1854—1979)的全球各大洋船舶观测水文气象资料的原始观测记录和经过初步的质量检查,以2°×2°网格进行了月统计计算的结果数据。该资料的特点是时间序列较长,网格划分较细,对一些常用的参量进行了计算,原始资料和月统计结果数据都按一定的格式进行压缩后记录在磁带上. “COADS”资料对海气相互作用的研究,海洋和气象的预报研究有重要的使用和参考价值。由于数据是经过压缩后记入磁带文件中,数据的读取必须经过解码后才能使用,所以“COADS”资料有一个专用的数据读写软件包.本文所涉及的内容主要分两部分,其一:“COADS”资料的简单介绍。其二:数据读写软件包“PSLIB”的开发和应用。
