电大作为一个系统,它的各个要素的构成是多方面、多方位、多层次的。从办学实体看,有中央、省、地(市)、县及教学班五级办学;从教育结构看,有成人大专班、中专班、全日制普通大专班、第二大专学历班、非学历班等;从专业结构看,有文、理、农、经济、法律、管理等;从教育内容看,有思想政治教育、文理基础知识教育、专业知识教育、实践教育等;从教学手段看,有广播电视、音像教材、文字教材、实验实习等;从办学主体看,有行政管理人员、教师、教学管理、辅助人员、学员(生)等。电大就是由上述相互联系的各要素组成的有机统一的整体。我们应当按照电大这个系统的特点,用系统观点来指导电大工作,努力做到:健全要素、优化结构、层次分明、形成合力,提高办学的整体效益,促进事业的协调发展。
